MVJ College of Engineering

MVJ College of Engineering is a private autonomous engineering college located in Bangalore, India. It was established in 1982 and is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University. The college is situated on a 15-acre campus in Whitefield, Bangalore.

MVJ College of Engineering was established in 1982 by Dr. M. V. Jayaraman with the vision to make it an institute of academic excellence. It is a flagship institution under the Venkatesha Education Society and is affiliated with Bangalore University.

The Board of Governors consists of seven members, including Dr. B. N. Suresh (Chairman, Governing Council, Chancellor & Founder Director of the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology) and Prof. B. N. Raghunandan (Professor and Dean, Dept. of Aerospace Engineering at IISc.). Other members include Prof. Chandrashekar, Dr. K. Ramachandra, Dr. Viraj Kumar, Mr. Vasantha Kumar

MVJ College of Engineering offers courses affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Aeronautical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication, Electrical and Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, and Information Science and Engineering programs offered by MVJ are accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). It is also recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC), approved by the All India Council

MVJ College of Engineering offers 11 undergraduate and 5 postgraduate programs in various branches of Engineering. These include Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Information Science Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, and Mechanical Engineering.

MVJCE offers two-year postgraduate programs in Aeronautical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Structural Engineering, and Transportation Engineering. It also offers a Master’s in Business Administration with dual specialization in HR/Finance/Marketing. Additionally, the university’s research centers are recognized by VTU for Doctoral Programs in Computer Science & Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Chemistry.

MVJCE hosts three annual festivals: VertechX, SWAYAM, and Innovation Day. It was ranked 61 among the top private engineering colleges in India by The Outlook Magazine in 2020, 28 by India Today, and 37 by The Week. Notable alumni include Vishnu Raj Menon, Mr. India 2016, and Indian model.
