UVCE – University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering, a premier Engineering Institution in India established in 1917 by Bharat Ratna, Sir M Visvesvaraya, and a constituent college of Bangalore University since 1964 is now converted into an autonomous “IIT-like” institution and named University of Visvesvaraya College of Engineering through an Act of Karnataka State Legislature which has come into force on 25th March 2022. Applications are now invited for appointment to the post of Director of the University of Visvesvaraya College of Engineering (UVCE), Bengaluru.

What started with 20 students in civil and mechanical branches, now has over 3300 students in 7 different branches.

The main campus is situated at KR Circle, in the neighborhood of Vidhana Soudha, while the other is situated amidst the Jnana Bharati Campus spread over 50 acres
