Mallya Aditi International School (MAIS or Aditi) is a private school located in New Town Yelahanka, Bangalore, India. It has quickly become one of the top schools in India and is consistently ranked among the top 5 private day schools.
Mallya Aditi International School is an elementary school that provides students with a curriculum designed to introduce them to both Eastern and Western cultures. Students can learn Indian languages, European and East Asian languages, Western classical music, Indian dance, and Indian classical music. Class sizes are small with about thirty students per classroom, so students get personalized attention and have the opportunity to form strong relationships with peers and teachers. Examinations are held at the end of each academic year for grades 6 through 12. For grades 9 and 10, students can choose between ICSE and IGCSE, while for grades 11 and 12, students can choose between ISC and AICE. Additionally, a week-long internship is compulsory in grade 12 to give students exposure to the corporate world.
Mallya Aditi International School, students can participate in sports such as basketball, football, cricket, and swimming. School starts at 7:35 am and ends at 2:30 pm with breaks throughout the day. There are three computer labs and two technical hubs to serve students and faculty with computers and educational material. Additionally, the Srishti School of Art Design and Technology is located on the Aditi campus.
Aditi students have many ways to express their creativity and talents. These include plays, musicals, concerts, talent shows, and student organizations such as the Dramatic Society, Model United Nations, Insight Club, Debating Club, Quiz Club, and Chess Clubs. They also have newspapers and magazines such as The Joke, Silhouette, and The Scribe.
Aditi’s school has teams in football and basketball that perform well in inter-school events. The football field is a pentagon shape, with an astroturf surface. The school also has an indoor basketball court, swimming pool, and badminton nets.
Every year, Aditi students take part in a Domains of Development (DOD) week. Four Domains of Development are identified: personal, social, experiential, and aesthetic. During this week, students can attend workshops in pottery and paper-making or go to Chennai to study South Indian music and dance. The graduating class takes up a project under ‘socially useful productive work’ for the week instead.
