The video was earlier posted by a Twitter user named dj. He said that the clip was recorded by one of the bystanders. The caption read, “Some woman took the order from him and started hitting him with her footwear.”

He also added that the delivery agent was terrified that he would lose his job.

The user said on Twitter that he tried calling customer care but they weren’t helpful. He further added, “I told them that “I don’t care about the order, your partner got assaulted, please help him”, but they asked me to tell the rider to contact rider support.

He said the delivery partner tried that, and that they didn’t understand Kannada. Later, he said, he deleted the original on the request of the delivery partner.

User dj also informed that the delivery agent is willing to connect with journalists.
