Krishnadevaraya College of Dental Sciences and Hospital is a private dental college located in Bengaluru, India. It is affiliated with the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.
Krishnadevaraya College of Dental Sciences and Hospital is located near Yelahanka Air Force Station, in North Bengaluru. It is accessible by BMTC buses passing through the college campus itself and is close to Kempegowda International Airport (14 km) and 21 km from Bangalore City Junction Majestic.
This college offers a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program, as well as a Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) program and various certificate courses. There is an intake of 60 students for the undergraduate course and 38 for postgraduate courses. The certificate courses offered include implantology, oral medicine and radiology, pediatric and preventive dentistry, oral and maxillofacial surgery, periodontology, orthodontics, and dentofacial orthopedics
The Emblem of the Krishnadevaraya College of Dental Sciences symbolizes the confluence of Eastern and Western Health Sciences. It includes a Central Wand with Entwined snakes, a Flame, a pair of Tusk, and the script Humanity, Sacrifice, Humanity, Dedication. These symbols represent modern Medical Sciences, immortality and cure from all sufferings, specialization, and the oath taken by doctors to serve humankind.
KCDS is a three-storied building with an attached Dental Hospital. It has four audio-visually equipped Lecture halls and an aesthetically designed Auditorium. It also had an attached 100-bed Hospital, but it has since been closed. Each department has a clinical section for UG and PG students with enough dental operating chairs. There are also two spacious Pre-Clinical labs for Prosthodontics and Conservative Dentistry to train new UG students.
The college has a well-equipped teaching dental Hospital attached to its main building. It serves numerous villages and provides practical exposure to students. Additionally, it is attached to a 100-bedded Government General Hospital for additional clinical training. There is also a tie-up with Malige Hospital for major OT facility and a new OT complex is under construction within College premises.
The campus of the Dental College has an Engineering college, Architecture college, Business Administration, and Computer Application department. It also has an extension Counter of Kotak Mahindra ING Vyasa bank with an ATM facility, a book stall, two stationary shops, and a Coffee shop. There is a common canteen for both colleges providing only vegetarian foods. The Institute’s power requirements are met by BESCOM and Captive Power Generating units.
